We’re out of town, so the only ones sharing the peace and quiet with us are a few cows. My room is fabulous, with the most amazing view. The lounge is really spacious, with glass all around to take in the scenery. An amazing place to stay!

We’re so glad we chose to stay here. The staff were really nice and welcoming, the rooms were lovely, and the view was beautiful. Breakfast was very good, too. The cook made me a great vegan dish.

Peter and Margarite welcomed us when we arrived, and from the moment we came in, the relaxing feel of Castle Murray House made us feel at home. On our first trip to Ireland, this was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or accommodating. You can relax in several areas, take in the Atlantic views, sit by a warm fireplace, or help yourself at the honor bar. The house sits on the shores of St Johns Bay. Breakfast was freshly made to order each morning, with options like smoked mackerel over scrambled eggs, porridge with whiskey sauce, or the Full Irish, plus homemade scones, granola, and fresh fruit. If you’re anywhere near Donegal town, we highly recommend Castle Murray House.

Margaritte made us feel so welcome and really went out of her way for us. Breakfast was homemade, delicious, and continental. The whole stay was incredible, with five-star service.

The owner designed and decorated the interior, and the garden has a beautiful view. Add in a great Irish breakfast, and this is a lovely base for a visit to County Donegal.
