The Cliffe at the Quay

We spent a fantastic long weekend in this gorgeous, chic apartment on the bay in Donegal Town. The Sea View room was perfect, with a huge comfy bed and an exceptional view through large floor-to-ceiling windows. The furnishings and equipment were top quality. The decor is beautiful, modern, and thoughtfully designed with accessibility in mind. The town centre is only a two-minute walk away. Such a unique stay, highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our night at the Cliffe. Using the hot tub on the terrace on a crisp winter day, looking out over beautiful Donegal Town, made it feel like an overnight spa stay. The bed was comfy, and relaxing in front of the TV and fire made the evening really cozy. Can't wait to return.

We only had one night here, but my husband and I made the most of it. It feels more like staying in a new rental home than a regular hotel, and the owners were easy to reach by phone even though there’s no reception. I’d definitely recommend it. We did have trouble figuring out the AC, so some instructions would’ve helped, and the living room unit was taped up and unusable. I also wished the windows had sheers, since the room faces a public area and some daylight with privacy would’ve been nice.

Every little thing in the room seemed thought through. We’d been in Ireland for two weeks and had also stayed in castles and five star hotels in Dublin, yet this was one of the nicest places of the trip. Absolutely amazing.
