Knockaguilla Country House

Marie and her family made our weeklong stay so welcoming and personal. We had a spacious room, a private bathroom and a lovely view. Water, towels, toiletries and breakfast were provided each morning. Even with some unfortunate airline delays, communication was clear and easy, and we arranged an after-hours self check-in. The nearest pub is about an hour's walk away, something to keep in mind, though it wasn't a problem for us. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend booking with them.

Marie even let us leave our bags early so we could explore the Cliffs of Moher, and her husband kindly dropped us at the ferry point the next morning. The room was cozy and very clean, just what we needed after a long day in Doolin before heading to the Aran Islands. The place is conveniently just outside Doolin, and the suggested taxi list was a big help. Breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade banana muffins. We loved our stay!

Knockaguilla was a lovely place to end and begin days exploring the beautiful area. Marie welcomed us warmly and shared useful tips for visiting nearby Moher and the Burren. Breakfast was really nice, with plenty of healthy choices: Marie's delicious home-baked bread, cereals and granola with seeds and nuts, yogurt, bagels, and more. Highly recommended.

The house was super clean, and our huge room had windows on three sides. The host was gentle and kind, and breakfast was great, with attention to gluten-free needs. Great location too. This was our best stay in Ireland; I can't think of anything to improve, and wish we'd booked longer. Thanks a lot!
