St. Catherines

The area is very quiet, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, with great bedsheets and a good shower. We had a twin room for my brother and me, and a double for our parents, and the breakfast was superb. I’ve visited Doolin many times and stayed at St. Catherine's this time. I’d come back. A car would be useful, especially in winter, though it’s not a long walk to Doolin main street.

Marie was a gracious host who did everything she could to make us comfortable and our time in Doolin memorable. It’s one of the most comfortable places I’ve stayed, and a warm, welcoming place for the night. They’re also VERY dog friendly, one of only two B&Bs in the entire area that are.

My sister and I had a wonderful three days exploring the Burren, and we’re already looking forward to another stay at St Catherine's. Marie was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotless, the beds very comfortable, and the toiletries were lovely. Breakfast was cooked perfectly with plenty of choices. It’s quiet countryside, ideal for a good night’s sleep.

The host was amazing, and in the morning there was a generous, delicious breakfast ready for us. The rooms were spotless with great showers, though the decor felt just a little dated. Set outside Doolin, it was a perfect base for us, a few minutes from the busy village. Highly recommend.
