The staff were kind, efficient and exceptional, and we appreciated having fresh laundry hung on the door when we didn't need the room fully reset. The lobby was beautifully decorated, and breakfast was enjoyable and convenient, though I'm not sure it was worth the price. The hotel is near some really good pubs and the city centre. The rooms, though, didn't feel like five-star quality. Ours was small and musty with poor air circulation, and there were no bathroom fans. We visited during a heatwave, so I'm giving them an extra star for something they couldn't control. There was no iron, hair dryer or sheets, just a crunchy comforter on a very small bed.

The food was gorgeous and really good value, which made the restaurant service a shame. Staff were very slow and inattentive, with tables repeatedly asking for drinks, the bill and condiments. Breakfast staff were SUPER. Rooms were lovely, and the Luas line is right outside, with Phoenix Park within walking distance. The doorman and reception team gave excellent service.

For my 17th birthday, I found a handwritten card and a lovely box of luxury chocolates in my room. Later, the hotel restaurant surprised me with a complimentary dessert. I really hadn't expected either gesture, and they made me feel so happy and appreciated. The staff were kind, and all those thoughtful touches made the stay unforgettable. The hotel is comfortable, lovely and well maintained. It's a 20-plus-minute walk to Dublin city centre, but I didn't mind. It gave me a chance to explore, take in the views and enjoy the city's atmosphere. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend Ashling Hotel Dublin, especially for a special occasion.

We were able to arrive before check-in, leave the car in the car park and head out for a walk, which was a huge bonus. The hotel is within walking distance of two Luas stops, making it easy to get around. Check-in was quick and smooth, and Ereka at the front desk was professional and informative, so the stay got off to a relaxing start. Breakfast was nice, with both self-service and staff service. Checkout and getting the car out were just as easy and stress-free.

Being right beside Heuston Station made getting around convenient, and the hotel is also close to Phoenix Park for a walk and within easy reach of the city centre. The atmosphere was welcoming and the hotel felt well run. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, always willing to go the extra mile. Our room was modern, spotless and comfortable, and a nice place to unwind after exploring. Breakfast had lots of choice and was excellent. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin.
