Clayton Hotel Charlemont

We had a brilliant stay at The Clayton Hotel, Charlemont and will definitely come back. The room was great, and all the staff were lovely. Special mention to the bar team, especially the barman who kept our glasses topped up and gave us great advice for getting around Dublin and Howth over the bank holiday weekend. We came to see Christy Moore. Thanks, all!

Our room was just right, with very comfortable beds, and the breakfast was delicious. The young waiting staff couldn’t do enough for us, and everyone else was lovely too. We did have rowdy neighbours knocking on our door at 4am, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. We’d recommend the place and will definitely come back.

My family and I spent two weeks in Ireland and had a really great stay here. It was comfortable, everything was well organized, and we felt welcome from the start. The reception team were always friendly, helpful, and professional. Gabriela, the manager, deserves a special mention for going above and beyond to make the stay better. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend the hotel.

It’s in a fairly quiet, pleasant neighbourhood, around a 25-minute walk from Temple Bar. The rooms are comfortable enough, but it’s odd that there’s nowhere to put your things in the room or bathroom. After our Irish road trip, where every hotel was happy to lend us an adapter, it was a pretty unpleasant surprise to find they only sell one here, even for a single night. And we’ll have to wait to see a smile from the lady.
