The house is in a lovely spot, and the area is great for a stroll when you have time. I also thought it was near Dublin, but that was a mistake, it’s a long walk. The sheets and towels seemed clean, though the bathroom was the worst part: the toilet was filthy and the shower was in a big jacuzzi tub that didn’t work. Water only came out as a slow drip, about pencil-width, so that’s what we had to shower under. Breakfast was very basic, and toast with butter and jam was all we felt safe eating. I stayed here a while ago and had been trying to find the place so I could leave a rating. It’ll do if you just need somewhere to sleep, but don’t expect anything beautiful or romantic.

The area around the place was lovely, and the room was comfortable, clean, and tidy. Wi-Fi was adequate too. I stayed a couple of months ago and would be very happy to return. If you need straightforward, clean and respectful lodging for a night or two around Dublin, I’d recommend it.

I found the location and surrounding area of Castleknock excellent when I stayed in October 2015. The staff were very helpful, and the Wi-Fi was okay. I was in room 7, where the TV didn’t work, which was disappointing. In general, I’d rate Deer Park Lodge as good.

The owner was really friendly, and the stay was very comfortable. I’ll come back for sure. Thanks 😊

The manager made us feel welcome and was pleasant to deal with. The accommodation itself wasn’t anything outstanding.
