Dublin Skylon Hotel

The room was spacious and nicely equipped, and the staff were very helpful. The bar team made an extra effort to make the atmosphere good. It's a convenient location for the airport, with pleasant restaurants and useful shops nearby. I'd happily stay again.

Our room was ready when we arrived, so check-in was quick. I'd messaged on the way to say we'd had a small accident and needed first aid, and the lovely woman who checked us in on the 1st of May had everything we needed ready. Thank you so much, and sorry I didn't get your name. The hotel was beautiful, the room spacious, and the location amazing, close to both the airport and city centre. We didn't manage to eat at the hotel because of our planned activities. The room was cleaned daily and smelled really clean whenever we returned. We'd love to come back soon.

I've stayed here several times, and the experience varies by season. In winter I had a cold room with very little heat. The rooms are generally OK, but some are better than others and there's no consistency. For light sleepers, the dated, poorly soundproofed windows are a problem: rooms facing the main road get noise all night and into the morning. Access is OK, and the lobby is pleasant enough. Staff are generally very nice, and the restaurant serves some good meals. There's a Lidl next door for snacks or breakfast if you don't want hotel breakfast. I'd stay again, as I do, mainly because nearby options are limited. It could be a great place if management improved some details; for now it feels merely satisfactory, which is a shame given its potential.

It's modern, clean, and very affordable, in a nice area with good restaurants close by. The Dublin Skylon is handy for the airport and would work well as a base in Dublin, or for your first or last night in Ireland. Parking costs a reasonable 10 euro right out front. The airport is about a 25-minute drive, taxi, or bus trip. Your mileage may vary, but I'd happily book here again.
