We only stopped over briefly, but the place was very clean and well organized. The host was lovely, and having the bus stop right outside made things easy. We hadn't brought an adapter for our electronics, but she'd already left one in the room. The people upstairs were loud walking around, so I'd try for a higher floor. Otherwise, it was just what we needed, and I'd recommend it.

Several buses leave right from the door and get to the city centre in about 10 minutes. There are also shops and different restaurants within a five-minute walk. I stayed nearly a month and really enjoyed it. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable and economical, and the host gave me a warm welcome. She was caring, helpful and always available.

There's plenty nearby: a grocery store two doors down, a coffee shop and pub on the block, and a bus stop right across the street by the college. The botanical gardens are a lovely ten-minute walk away. Inside, the room was gorgeous and clean, with recent renovations, a large shower and lots of storage. The space was laid out smartly, and the owners were welcoming, helpful and informative.

The rooms are tiny, but they're perfectly adequate for a night or a couple of days. We didn't notice traffic noise from the main road, thanks to the double glazing. Shops and places to eat are close, and the buses make it easy to get to both Dublin city and Dublin Airport. Michaela was lovely, and her son handled our check-in. Michaela was happy to share bus timetables, too. We also liked the classy decor and the sitting and dining room. Thanks from two happy Aussies, Michaela.

The bus links are handy for getting around. I walked to O’Connel street and back, or you can take the 13 or 16 from outside the guest house. Tesco Express and Lidl are close by, and there's a simple Australian-style breakfast with toast, cereal, tea and instant coffee. You can also heat food in the microwave. Michaela, the manageress who lives there, was friendly, accommodating, hardworking and helpful. The guest house is served by the 16 and 41 from the airport, with stops right outside. The fare was 2.60, compared with about 23 Euros for a taxi, and the journey took 35-40 minutes depending on traffic. Watch for Lidl on the right and ring the bell as you pass. The 41 runs around the clock, leaving for the airport at .09 and .39 past each hour. We tried the 5.39 am bus, but it was full and didn't stop. Luckily it's a busy road, so we flagged down a taxi within a minute. There isn't much luggage space on the bus, which could be an issue at rush hour. The road is very busy and there's a bus stop right outside, so a front room could be rough for a light sleeper, even with double glazing. The back rooms are quieter but probably smaller, so there's a trade-off. Our room felt cold, staying at 17-18c when it was 3-5c outside. The internet was a bit slow at times.
