Grafton Street Boutique Aparthotel by City Break Apartments

The apartment is brilliantly located, just steps from the main shopping street and close to the tourist attractions. Silvia’s replies are prompt, helpful and detailed. Check-in with the digital key was amazing, and the spacious, clean room and bathroom had all the amenities and little extras we needed. The washer, microwave, stove, fridge and utensils were all ready to use. I’ll definitely stay here again.

We could walk to everything we wanted to do, and the apartment had what we needed for a weekend or even a longer stay. Getting in early was a huge help after our 9 a.m. airport arrival. If the room hadn’t been ready, they were prepared to hold our bags, which was reassuring. Just keep in mind that being right in the city centre can mean noise late at night, so light sleepers may want to consider that.

Once we got in, the apartment was spacious, clean and nicely decorated with artistic touches, though a little minimal. They also let us leave our bags after checkout so we could keep exploring Dublin. The location is unbeatable, right off Grafton Street, and made it easy to get around on foot. Getting inside, though, was incredibly frustrating. We arrived around midnight after a long day of travel, including a flight from Barcelona, and couldn’t find the entrance. We had to call for help and were told to look for a nearby statue. If someone had simply said the entrance is marked Citybreak Apartments or Grafton House, not Grafton Street Studios, it would have saved us a lot of stress and time. All contact with the attendant was by phone, and we called three times. Each time he said he was biking over to help, but he never showed up. Once we reached the building foyer, it took over an hour for him to find our reservation. We then had to download an app to get lockbox codes for the building and apartment keys. After a full day, really a full week, of travel, that felt unnecessarily complicated. We didn’t get into the room until nearly 2 AM. The room itself was comfortable and the location is prime, but unclear directions, a difficult check-in and unreliable assistance made for a very stressful arrival.

The soundproofing was spot on, we heard zero street noise despite being right in the heart of Dublin. We stayed with our infant and they provided a cot. Check-in was smooth, reception staff were very helpful and responsive, and the room’s kitchenette had everything we needed. Absolutely fantastic find. We’ll be back on our next visit. Superb!
