Holiday Inn Express Dublin City Centre by IHG

The rooms were spotless, roomy and comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful and lovely. We were also impressed by how clean the whole hotel was and how well its location suited our plans. I'd expected standard IHG service, but the welcome was a pleasant surprise from the moment we arrived. The receptionist who checked us in was exceptionally kind and helpful, as were the rest of the team. Dawd was especially friendly and professional, a real credit to the hotel.

The rooms were clean and well stocked, and the staff were cheerful, helpful and clear when they spoke. When the concierge couldn't arrange a cab online, he promptly walked us over to the right roomy taxi on Connolly. He got things done. For a budget friendly hotel, the service was top notch, and I'd stay here again on my next Dublin visit.

The location is right in central Dublin on one of the city's main avenues, and the airport bus picks up and drops off at the door. With a little planning, you can join plenty of excursions from the hotel, the neighboring Riu Plaza Hotel or The Spire, about a five-minute walk away. Gabrielle took care of us throughout the stay with a professional manner and a friendly touch, and the whole staff was available around the clock. Breakfast was lovely and had a huge range of choices. The hotel itself was wonderful, and it was clear there was a great team behind it. Many thanks to the HIEX Dublin team!

There's a bar next door with traditional Irish music, food and drinks at good prices. We also liked the hotel's spot on O'Connell street, with shops and bars nearby and Temple Bar and the amenities along the river Liffey just a short walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. Well recommended.
