Isaacs Hostel

A really pleasant atmosphere, with a complete kitchen and a free sauna. The staff were kind and willing to help, and the fares were low. It’s a really nice hostel in a good location, though it’s close to the railway.

I remember the staff being very friendly when I stayed at this hostel in 1998. There were bed bugs, though. I also remember talking with a guy from Belgium about the meaning of life.

The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were better than those in most hostels I’ve visited, and security is taken seriously. Staff were quick to offer directions and recommendations. It’s a good location, about a 10-minute walk from Temple Bar. It’s fine for what it is, though I’ve stayed in friendlier, more social hostels.

The place was clean and enjoyable, with lots to do, and everyone was friendly and helpful, especially the front desk staff. I had a lovely stay. The layout wasn’t very convenient, though: the lockers are way down in the basement, and there are few outlets in the dorms. I stayed in both an eight-bunk room and a two-bunk room. The WiFi failed a few times, but the staff were able to deal with it.
