Maldron Hotel Newlands Cross

Even with the bar so busy, Samira, Ife, and the barman kept things moving and stayed professional and upbeat. Samira and Ife were welcoming, patient, and attentive, while serving several customers and making sure I was looked after too. It was impressive to see them manage such a hectic night as a small team. Their effort and teamwork made the experience enjoyable, and deserve recognition.

We had a lovely, clean family room, and the beds and mattresses were very comfortable. The blankets were cosy too, though the hotel could consider fluffier, better quality pillows. Staff were friendly, the hotel was very clean, and the food was lovely. Breakfast had a very good variety, and the cocktails were nice. The bar and restaurant felt a little small for a hotel this size. It was a very busy evening and they seemed understaffed, though the staff did their best to keep things together. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I’ve stayed here every year for the past 10 years, but this was the first time housekeeping let us down. Although the room was booked for three, it was only set up for two. Each day we had to ask for mugs, towels, tea, coffee, and milk. We also had to change rooms the first night because the electrical sockets weren’t working. The room was freezing, and we had to ask every night for the heating to be switched on. Each evening when we returned, it had been turned off, so we were cold most of the time. I’ll probably choose another hotel on my next trip.

Easy parking and a convenient location made this a handy place to stay while travelling through Ireland. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff friendly. Good value for the price, with what you need for a good night's rest. I really enjoyed my stay at Maldron Hotel and would recommend it.
