The staff were attentive and clearly cared about the guest experience. The coffee was excellent too. It’s close to the shops and Temple Bar, and the room was comfortable with a very good breakfast. For this category, it’s probably the best hotel I’ve stayed in in Dublin. It isn’t a top-end luxury hotel, but the quality comes fairly close while the price stays more reasonable.

The breakfast had plenty of choice, both continental and hot, and was excellent. We also enjoyed the bar food on both evenings. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from St. Stephen’s Green shopping centre. We were made to feel welcome by every staff member we met, from check-in through checkout. We had a suite with a balcony and hot tub, and used the tub both nights. The room wasn’t big, but it was comfortable, with remote controls for everything. The TV’s position made me a little nervous when I pulled it around to watch from bed. We had a very enjoyable two-night trip and would love to return.

There’s no parking, which was inconvenient, and the rooms felt cramped, with little room for bags or moving around. The beds were unusually high and uncomfortable, so sleeping wasn’t easy. I also didn’t like the strong diffuser scent, and there was no way to turn it off. The hotel is clean, modern, and in a perfect location, which I appreciated. Still, the comfort and practicality weren’t what I expected, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Breakfast was a highlight, with lots to choose from and everything cooked just right. The staff were welcoming and attentive from the start, and the servers were especially friendly and professional, always going the extra mile. Denis, Szarel and Gary at the bar deserve a special mention. They were fantastic and made the place feel warm and enjoyable. I had a great stay at The Chancery Hotel and would absolutely come back.

The location was ideal, within walking distance of the city centre but on a quieter street that felt safe and peaceful. We also really appreciated the staff throughout our stay. Georgia and Beatrice were particularly kind and helped us arrange a morning cab, and everyone we met was warm and welcoming. My husband and I had booked just one night while passing through Dublin on our honeymoon, expecting only somewhere to sleep. We ended up wishing we’d stayed longer. A man at reception, whose name I think was Dylan, greeted us so warmly and generously. We were lucky to get a top-floor room with a spectacular view and a spacious balcony. The room and stay felt much more luxurious than we expected, with impressive technology and features, plus an extremely comfortable king bed that felt like a cloud. We made use of the spa, especially enjoying the sauna. Breakfast was included and was delicious, with excellent quality and lots of variety. The whole place felt elevated, cozy, and welcoming. We hope to return for a longer visit.
