The tight room layout was the main drawback for us. We booked a Deluxe King Room, but with two suitcases there was hardly anywhere to put them. We squeezed them between the bed and wall and kept tripping over them in the morning. There wasn’t enough floor space to open a case fully, and no luggage rack or proper storage. Even a small closet would have made me happy to come back. For the price, the lack of usable space made the room feel cluttered and getting dressed a chore. The rest of the stay was lovely. The location worked perfectly: I had a conference at the convention center, around a 12-15 minute walk away, while my husband explored the city. Staff were kind, accommodating, and gave recommendations that made our trip better. The gym was very nice, and though we didn’t use the sauna, I expect it’s just as well done. We also loved the shower and the fun Japanese toilets. With more thought given to storage and the layout, this could be an exceptional hotel.

The breakfast was a highlight, from the food and service to the bright city views. There was loads of natural light. Add it to your booking, and don’t miss the juice. We also had the best cocktails of our whole trip, lovely terrace views, and the best night’s sleep thanks to the perfect bed and pillows. I was amazed by the gym equipment, including ELEIKO, the art throughout, wallpaper I loved, and the whimsical minibar. So many little things seemed thoughtfully planned for guests. My husband picked this place for the last stop of my 40th birthday trip, which was mostly in Scotland for several weeks. He wanted somewhere beautiful and worry-free. We got exactly that, and I can’t wait to return to Dublin for this hotel alone. Have a look at what’s nearby too, it’s a great starting point for exploring Dublin. Much love, Lorrie Beth Stewart

The bar drinks were amazing, and we had great customer service. The kitchen, however, shuts at 9:30pm even though the lounge stays open until midnight, and nobody at check-in told us. Room service also closes at the same time, which we only found out afterward. Housekeeping is by request only, and getting the request in at the front desk was difficult with the checkout line. We did manage to ask for fresh towels, and they arrived within five minutes. The decor is beautiful and the location is very central, close to the main attractions. But there’s no parking apart from metered spaces, and I’d strongly advise renting a car while staying here. The rooms are extremely small, and some amenities in the pool area were out of order. Overall, service was good, but we didn’t feel the price matched what we got.

Everything went so smoothly for our wedding in the O’Dwyer Suite. The staff made the whole thing easy and stress-free, and they were willing to help with anything we asked. The rooms, facilities, and food were all flawless and handled to a really high standard. I’d strongly recommend the hotel for a wedding or a city stay.

The rooftop cocktail bar was good, and the price felt reasonable. We loved staying at the Leinster, especially the thoughtful details in the bathroom tiles, furniture, and other touches that give the place its own character.
