The Norseman is a great Irish Pub. We came back two days later and had just as much fun. The first time, we’d been looking for our first Guinness in Ireland. We’d marked a few interesting pubs on Google Maps and started walking from our hotel. Three random bars close by all opened around 4 o’clock, and we arrived before noon, so we didn’t want to wait. The Norseman was on our top 5 list, and luckily it was open with live music. We stayed for three hours, listening to the music and drinking Guinness, Kilkenny, other Irish beers, and some cocktails. One of us has reduced mobility, and the pub had wheelchair-accessible toilets. We got the key without any problem.

Horrible. The waitresses were no help at all, and the bathrooms were best left unmentioned. Their star dish, the beef stew, had just four tough pieces of beef, with the rest made up of 50-gram chunks of carrot. The potatoes were frozen or instant mashed, and the fried fish had no salt. €50 for two people.

Live music gives the place extra charm, and you can really feel the Irish spirit. The food was solid too, especially the traditional dishes. It’s a lively, authentic pub with friendly staff and a welcoming feel. A great spot for a pint of Guinness or some local craft beers if you want a proper Dublin pub experience.

We spent the last few hours of our trip sitting in our favourite pub, having a pint and listening to good music. It was always busy, but we could always get a seat. The live music was great, and the staff were friendly.

There was a live singer and guitarist when I visited, and they were very good. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the selection of quality beers was fantastic. For this area, the beer prices were reasonable compared with other places. I’d recommend the Norseman as one of the go-to places in Dublin.
