There’s a big kitchen with room for about two or three groups to cook at once, and breakfast is toast, jam, cereal, tea and coffee, all free. My 8-bed dorm was generous compared with others I’ve stayed in. It can be noisy at rush hour, but that comes with being in central Dublin. The place is smaller than some of the big Dublin hostels, which gave it a cozy, familiar feel. I stayed a couple of days and really enjoyed it. The staff were always super helpful and nice, and they also have a meeting point for walking tours.

At least there’s free WiFi, and the staff are nice. The place is pretty clean, but the rooms need repairs, with holes in the ceilings and bare walls. I got one hot shower, while the others were cold or lukewarm. Traffic noise and lots of light coming through the blinds made the room uncomfortable. The beds are basic, shoddy, noisy and uncomfortable.

The hostel was good overall and reasonably priced, right in the centre, about a 10-minute walk from O'Connel street. Grocery shops and a few little churches are nearby, and I’d go back. The staff were really nice and answered all our questions. We did find some dirt left by the previous guests in our room, and breakfast was included but didn’t have much variety.

The living spaces were okay, but the rooms were dirty. We first thought ours had just been missed by the cleaner, but the manager said all guests have the same experience. The price might be fine for a bed in a shared dorm, but private rooms are very poor value.

We stayed three nights, and the room was dirty from the first day, as the photos show. We had a bad dust allergy. When the previous people left, nobody cleaned the room, and there were lots of dirty towels lying around. Breakfast was poor, just marmalade, bread and some cereal.
