The food was amazing, and the front desk staff were the best. Service was excellent too. The walls are thin, so you hear everything. I guess that's part of an older building, though some upgrades could help with the noise. Still, it's worth a stop.

A good hotel with friendly service and a great room, though the bed creaked a lot. The blackout curtains were brilliant for sleeping. It's a bit overpriced for somewhere somewhat far from the city centre, and breakfast felt small for the price since we could only order one plate. A buffet option would be nice. Nothing was amazing, but nothing was really bad either. I'd rate it above three stars but below five. They should enforce the no-smoking signs outside the hotel, because it smells terrible there and people ignore them.

Pat and the team are what make this family-run hotel stand out. It’s an Art Deco place with easy transport into Dublin, clean rooms, decent food, and staff who seem happy to help with anything. I stayed four nights and the service was better than at some five-star hotels I’ve been to recently. Ignore the negative feedback and make up your own mind. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Ireland. Keep up the great work. Kind regards, Rob.

We booked the venue after our mother passed away last week. She had married there 55 years ago, and some family members booked rooms. On the day of her funeral, manager Justin stopped our guests from going up to change out of their funeral clothes. His attitude was very disrespectful. We had the room for five hours, and after a couple of hours our guests wanted to have a drink in the bar, but we were told we couldn’t because people were having dinner. My aunt spoke to him, and he said it was fine unless anyone else came in, in which case we’d all have to leave. I also saw staff take drinks we’d paid for away from our table after serving them. I filmed it because I found it disgusting. Later, Justin came down and told our guests to be quiet, although the group beside us was making noise and singing and wasn’t spoken to. We spent around 10,000 euro on food and drinks from midday until our family went to bed around 2 am. At breakfast the next day, staff stood over our family as if we’d murdered someone. We were told to put beer mats over our drinks if we didn’t want them taken away. I’ve never seen anything like it. There was no compassion at all. You and your staff should be ashamed of the way you treated us. I have videos on my phone if anyone wants to see them. You have no people skills, and it’s hard to understand how you make money while treating paying customers this way.

It’s a peaceful, beautiful spot, with a huge park nearby. The city centre is a bit of a distance away, though transport links are good. The hotel has a welcoming, almost family-like feel, and the staff are very friendly, capable, and ready to help. I’d recommend it.
