The interiors look good, with mostly BoConcept furniture and Miele appliances, and Savills is a professional management company. Dalkey is a nice place to live too, with the sea right in front of the building and a town center about 10-15 minutes away for restaurants, pharmacies, and groceries. The rental price is the big drawback. The advertised starting rate only applies to the least attractive apartments, then goes up sharply. A 2-bedroom place without a sea view and not on the first floor is about €3,000, while top-floor units with a sea view are over €4,000. The apartments are small, sometimes with no room at the entrance for a coat hanger, as you can see in some 3D tours. Some floor plans also have maze-like hallways. You can't rent an unfurnished apartment. They put a bed in every bedroom, leaving little space for anything else, such as a home office, which seems odd if they're targeting tech workers. The gym doesn't seem well thought out either. It has a barbell but not enough weights to do much with it, too many treadmills crammed into a small area and all facing a wall, no room for back exercises, no machines, and no bars for hanging. The dumbbells are all large, and the weights only go up in 2.5 kg steps. The 94 apartments were originally built for sale, but Irish Life bought the whole complex for €50 million, as reported in the Irish Times. Savills now rents them out.
Lovely area, and the apartments are nice.
The advertising is blatantly false, and it's a waste of people's time.
A new complex with a lovely setting, close to the sea.
Apartments close to the sea.
