The dessert was delicious, but I wouldn’t come back. There was too much salt in the food, and the prices felt like Dublin prices, with soup at 8e and dessert at 9e. The restaurant area was cold and draughty because the doors kept opening, and it felt like being in a barn. The hot meal choices were limited, with only one fish option and no vegetarian meal. Peas and broad beans were the vegetable sides. There was absolutely no consideration for wheelchair users: the parking space was a joke, with a pole in front and a car blocking one side, and there was no ramp or designated wheelchair entrance.

The rooms were perfect and had everything you’d need for a stay, and the check-in staff were friendly and very helpful. Management did their best to accommodate our guest who used a wheelchair, but we left very disappointed because the hotel doesn’t accommodate wheelchair users. At our Christmas party, the food arrived cold and tasted burnt, and the bar staff were too busy talking among themselves to serve us. There was no music while we waited for food, so there was no atmosphere. The hotel should consider accommodating wheelchair users.

We had a birthday dinner at Hayes with a group of about 15, and it was a really enjoyable night. The place was clean, service excellent, and it was great value for money. The food was hot, fresh and nicely presented, with everything brought out together. There was plenty of choice for the vegans and vegetarians in our group, and they were all happy with their meals. Thanks for a great night!

We were a group of business people hoping to have lunch, but staff refused to serve us because there were seven of us. We even offered to sit separately. The place was half empty and other people were being served food at the time. I’ve never experienced anything like it in Ireland. A new level of ignorance.

We were in Ireland over Christmas and New Year, and had dinner at Hayes Hotel last Saturday night. Lucie, our lovely waitress, was so sweet. The food was lovely and the service was great. Highly recommend.
