Stonehaven

The owner was so kind, sweet and helpful, and breakfast was generous with lots of variety. Our bedroom and private bathroom were clean, fairly spacious and cosy, and the bed was comfortable. It was a quiet place too. We only stayed a couple of days, which was a pity, because the experience was amazing.

We had a very clean, comfortable room, and the friendly, funny owner made it nice to chat with her. There are just three rooms, so we appreciated getting that chance. The location in Ennis is great, with free parking and shops and restaurants in the town centre within walking distance. It’s also an easy drive to the Burren and other local sights.

There was no real welcome when I arrived, it felt more like a confrontation. Before I’d even brought my bag in, I was asked to pay upfront, even though the room had been paid for as B&B. I did get B, to be fair. They also asked whether I’d like a kettle left out.

Stonehaven was one of our favourite places during my son’s and my travels around Ireland. Marie, the owner, was warm, friendly, very nice and accommodating, and she made us a lovely breakfast each morning. The town is within walking distance too. We’d definitely recommend Stonehaven.
