Lazy Cow Hostel

We had the hostel to ourselves, which was lucky since otherwise we'd have shared the bathroom. The four person room had bunk beds with handy curtains for privacy, though I missed having a chair or hooks for jackets. The living room was really nice, with a couch, games, and some books. Rooms were clean, spacious, and modern, but the service wasn't like a classic B&B. “Breakfast included” meant access to a kitchen with just a microwave, fridge, toaster, and kettle, plus a few ingredients. We ended up buying quite a lot of food ourselves. The place is very central, and parking was easy to find. On Fridays and Saturdays there was live music from the pub, which you could hear in the sleeping room too. The lock wouldn't work even though we'd been given a PIN code, and the bell was out of order. The phone number from the booking was no longer valid, so we asked at the very friendly café next door and got the current number from the staff.

The location couldn't be better, and there's an authentic French creperie downstairs with amazing food and coffee. The mattresses and bedding were quality, and the beds were so comfortable. Five stars all the way, I'd highly recommend staying here.

You're right in town, but it was really quiet. I loved the cozy private room and the great shower. There's also a spacious common area with an amazing world map. Highly recommend this hostel!
