The seafood chowder was good, but the Caesar salad wasn’t worth what it cost. At lunch, their card machine was broken and they only took cash. I wish they’d told us before we sat down, as that’s never a nice surprise.

It was a very nice surprise to find the bar open and serving food. The meal was delicious, with just the right-sized portions, and the service was friendly without feeling rushed.

We ate at Hickie's, just a short walk away, and enjoyed dinner. In mid-November, most of Kilkee's pubs and food places were shut, though the main street has plenty of options in season. The Myles Creek Guesthouse suited our slow off-season trip along Ireland's west coast: the room was small and a bit worn, but comfortable and good value. The amenities weren't quite up to those at some nicer B&Bs we'd stayed in, but it was a pleasant, surprisingly quiet place to sleep.

A lovely spot in Kilkee, and such a beautiful restaurant. We had lunch, and our waitress, a blonde woman wearing pink shoes, was kind and very professional.

The food was top class: we got two soups, a panini and a toasted special, and everything came out really quickly. The staff were some of the friendliest I've met. We checked in today and decided to eat here. Great food and lovely staff, can't wait to come back.
