Dun Aoibhinn Guest Accommodation

The manager was nice, and the neighborhood is very nice. I booked this place because it was close to Galway Latin Quarter, had parking and allowed children. The door lock doesn't line up, so the door couldn't be locked from inside and needs fixing. Some fixtures were broken, including the towel bar. There was no shower door or curtain, so the bathroom got wet after every shower. The pillows smelled a bit, though not the covers, probably because the pillows were older.

The host is very helpful and the parking is handy, but this is a B, not a B&B. The rooms are VERY basic and the shower was cold. Might be fine if you're on a stag or travelling alone, otherwise... I needed a bed in Galway on a Saturday night, paid my money and took my chance. Sure look it....

It's an odd place, and not much to look at when you arrive, though it does have onsite parking. The manager was welcoming, but we still had a strange feeling and didn't feel completely comfortable. In our room, the shower and toilet were in one corner, while the wash basin was on the other side next to the bed. There was a strange noise whenever we were in the room, and it made my wife not want to be there alone. The bed was okay, the pillows were good, and the location was good. We paid more than we had for other places over the past fortnight and got less value. There's no accessibility access.

James was really accommodating and even arranged an early taxi for me to the train station. The room had an en-suite bathroom, TV, and tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. There’s plenty of parking, and it’s a short walk to UHG and town. Good value for the price, and I’d happily recommend this guest house.
