Dolores made us feel so welcome. The room was spacious and spotless, with nice extras like toiletries, tea and coffee. It’s easy to walk everywhere from here, but the house is on a quiet residential street, so we slept peacefully. What a wonderful place.

Dolores is a gem, and the price was much better than most other places in Galway. I contacted her through the website and she got everything sorted quickly. You can walk to everything from here, but it’s on a quiet street where you can get a good night’s sleep. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

The Forge was the best choice I made on my Ireland trip. The room was clean and really comfortable, and Dolores had everything ready when I arrived. She was very friendly. The location is close to everything while still being quiet. I’d highly recommend The Forge to anyone visiting Galway.

A friend and I visited from the US and stayed here in 2023. Dolores was so kind and welcoming that, three years later, we still talk about her.

Delores now runs this as room-only, not a bed and breakfast, but there’s a kettle, coffee, tea and snacks. My room was lovely and very large, with a sitting area and a private bathroom that wasn’t attached. Most of the other rooms are en suite. The house is quiet and well maintained on a residential street, just a few minutes’ walk from Spanish Arch. Highly recommended.
