I’m living here while doing a college co-op placement, and it suits me well. The bedrooms are spacious, though the kitchen and living area are small. It can be awkward when more than two people need to use the kitchen at once. The landlord is friendly and easy to deal with. It’s also well placed, near a bus route, a shopping centre and the main road into Galway.
The apartments are basic, but the location works well. Dunnes is nearby, and buses 401 and 409 are accessible. Best of luck dealing with the apartment agent, though.
The furnishings are nice and there are shops nearby, but living here has been rough. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, and the traffic noise from behind the buildings is so bad that I haven’t slept properly. I can’t open the window for fresh air because the noise brings on migraines. Without fresh air, I’ve been getting sick a lot, and it’s really affected my health. The windows badly need soundproofing. There’s no TV, which is a letdown, and the smoke alarms are so sensitive that they go off loudly for ages. With all the other noise, that’s the last thing I need.
The apartments are a decent size and reasonably priced. Getting into the city takes a bus ride, with the stop right outside, or a short drive. There wasn’t a TV, which would’ve been handy for our family stay, but otherwise it was good.
The apartments are comfortable, with good facilities and friendly staff. They’re a fair trek from the city itself, and there’s no TV in the apartments. Those were the only downsides for me.
