The countryside views from the big picture window were fantastic, and the room felt spacious and bright. We slept soundly in the comfortable bed, helped by how quiet it was there. The en-suite was roomy too, with a brilliant hot shower. Julie made us feel at home, always friendly and full of helpful information. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty both mornings, a lovely way to start the day. We’d happily come back.

Carrickmourne House sits in beautiful surroundings, and I felt very safe staying there on my own. The owner was so sweet, and breakfast was amazing. Her suggestions for places to visit turned into some of our favourite stops in Ireland. Such a lovely stay, I’d definitely return.

We felt like family as soon as we arrived, even though we’d only given short notice. It’s a stunning, spotless B&B in a particularly beautiful part of Ireland. A really special place.
