The room was already lovely and warm when we got there, even though it was a cold evening, because our hostess had switched on the electric blankets. I rang later in the day when we still hadn't settled our plans, and she gave us really helpful directions and suggested an inn for dinner. The food was delicious, and breakfast was just as good, with lovely conversation. It felt a bit like visiting my grandmother. Wonderful stay, and I'd definitely come back.

A really welcoming couple, and you can tell this is a much-loved family home. The place could use some updating, though. For what we paid, the full Irish breakfast felt a bit short on food. Maybe an extra rasher, an egg, and two pieces of pudding would make it feel more substantial.

We spent 14 nights in a very small double ensuite room, with barely any cupboard space and the wardrobe in the bathroom. The TV had no signal, and the coffee sachets were well past their date. The accommodation is badly in need of updating, and the car park was a joke. Park your car at your own risk. I was very disappointed, especially as the hostess, Ita, made no effort to help us feel comfortable.

The room was cramped, the beds uncomfortable, and the owners weren't very friendly. There was hardly any parking, the house didn't make a great first impression, and the Wi-Fi only worked if you sat in the dining room. It's also very remote, with no phone service. When we arrived, she said she had planned to close up and stop taking guests that day, but we were already booked. We offered to find somewhere else, but she wouldn't return my B&B voucher, so we had to stay. After all that, I told her we'd leave after one night instead of two. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have nowhere else to go.

We stayed twice, once in 2008 and again in 2012, and had a great experience both times. It's a beautiful home with a great host, and the price was reasonable.
