We stayed one night at Helen’s accommodation while following our Ring of Kerry itinerary, and the location was convenient. But my uncle woke up with 19 bed bug bites across his legs. He had no bites before sleeping at Cleo Gallery, and we noticed them before we stayed at our next place. He wears long pants and socks outdoors and only shorts to bed, so we felt the host’s explanation that the bites came from being outside was impossible. When we raised it with Helen, she dismissed our concern. The exchange was incredibly rude. I would not recommend staying here, and honestly wish I could give it zero stars.

The host is lovely and happy to help with anything, and the town is right on your doorstep. We enjoyed our stay in the downstairs apartment, which sleeps six and has two bedrooms. It’s quirky and well equipped, including a washing machine, and there’s a little courtyard off the kitchen where we liked watching the robin that seems to live there. The stairs and layout wouldn’t suit anyone with limited mobility.

The house has a really pretty interior and a nice traditional feel. The bathroom wasn’t the most comfortable, but we had a great stay overall and would definitely recommend it.

We stayed here last year and this year, and have already booked again for 2022. Helen was brilliant to deal with, and the apartment felt like a home from home. It was lovely, clean, and tidy, in an ideal location. We had a pleasant, enjoyable stay and highly recommend it.

The basement apartment at Cleo Gallery was cute, cozy, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a lovely weekend in Kenmare. We had a great stay.
