The owner made sure we were warm, bringing us a portable heater and turning up the room temperature after our chilly first night. Breakfast was a real treat too, with bacon, eggs, home-baked breads, cakes and scones, plus plenty of coffee and juice. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the setting was peaceful. We had a very pleasant two-night stay.

Valeria made our three nights at Bluetit Lodge feel so welcoming. She was friendly, thoughtful and quick to help, and breakfast each morning came with a lovely basket of bread. Our room was cosy, very comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. I’d happily stay at Bluetit Lodge again if I’m back in the area.

On my solo motorcycle tour around Ireland, I found this a lovely spot to stay. The hospitality was warm, breakfast was lovely, and everything was spotless and really comfortable. I’d gladly come back and recommend it to others.

Whenever I come back to my beautiful home town of Kilkee, I love staying at the Bluetit Lodge. The house and rooms are beautiful and clean, the food is great, and the family are lovely. Valeria is a wonderful host and does all she can for you. I’d give it more than five stars if I could, and would recommend it to anyone.
