Our room on the first floor was modest in size but beautifully appointed, and the host patiently waited for us and got us settled in. The mattress was soft, the towels thick and oversized, and everything from the furnishings onward felt luxurious. The modern bathroom was especially well designed, and we slept really well. We spent one night at the Glen Quarter at the start of a coastal tour. Since it was a Tuesday in the off season, we barely got to experience Kinsale, and now I wish we'd booked two nights. This happens a lot in Ireland: the smaller towns feel so welcoming and familiar, while the bigger cities get the glamour. I’m sorry we have to move on today.

The hosts were welcoming and accommodating, and the room was lovely and clean. It’s in an excellent spot, so I could easily walk everywhere. I really enjoyed my stay.

There’s no shared lounge or other communal place to relax, and adding hooks for hanging things would make the small room work better. It was immaculate and had everything you might need for a night or two, though the room itself was very small. The location is fantastic.

We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed it. The rooms have been renovated recently, with a large, comfortable bed and a spacious, clean bathroom. Tea and coffee were provided too. Getting around Kinsale from here was easy. Check-in was simple: we called and were given everything we needed to settle in.

A clean, modern room in an excellent spot right in the heart of Kinsale.
