The Post House

We only dropped into the Post House hotel for a quick Flat White and hot chocolate 🍫, we didn't stay there. The coffee house is really cute, with an urban look, and there's a lovely olive tree courtyard out back under a shaded cover. It seems ideal in summer or on a warm rainy day ☔️. The washrooms were very clean. Inside seats about 20 people, and there's even more space outside. Highly recommend.

The inside was clean and the beds were comfortable, but there were lots of spiders and webs. Stairs, stairs, so it might be difficult for some travelers. We chose the place for its location and thought an apartment might be quieter. Instead, construction under and beside us started waking us in the morning and carried on all day Saturday. They only told us the night before.

Julie, the manager, was really accommodating. There was confusion about which apartment we were meant to get, but she sorted it out straight away. We had a lovely apartment, and Kinsale made for a great staycation. 🤗👍🤔

I just stopped in for a cuppa and ordered a mocha. They asked whether I wanted ordinary, dark, or white chocolate, which caught me pleasantly off guard. In more than 25 years of going places around the world, no one had asked me that before. I chose dark and it was amazing. Great service, and the staff were very jolly. I'll be back.
