The beach was a highlight for us, with plenty of room for the kids to run, explore, and burn off energy, even on cooler days. We also loved the nearby Rossylongan Forest Walk, an easy, scenic outing that worked well for little legs. The peaceful setting felt relaxing, but Donegal Town was still handy for food, supplies, and sightseeing. We rented two houses at Donegal Estuary Holiday Homes in April for our family of four, our extended family, and grandparents. Having the houses close together worked brilliantly: we could spread out while still spending lots of time together. They were spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped for a family holiday. Aisling was welcoming, responsive, and helpful from start to finish. It was a great choice for a multi-generational trip, and we'd happily recommend it and love to return.

It's a good base for touring Donegal, but if you're planning to go into town regularly, you'll need transport, so I wouldn't recommend it for that.

Aisling was so helpful, polite, and kind. We couldn't be happier or more grateful. Our holiday was amazing, just a bit short, and we're definitely hoping to return to Donegal Estuary Hollydays. The property was spotless and modern, with very comfortable beds, in a safe, quiet, friendly neighborhood. It's in an amazing part of CoDonegal, surrounded by beautiful places. The beaches are close and the water is crystal clear. Tramore beach is a hidden gem in the area. I'd highly recommend it to anyone, whatever they're looking for. We really enjoyed our stay in cottage number 1, and it was great to be able to bring our dog 🐕 ❤️. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed, including towels, bed linen, a well-equipped kitchen, and outdoor seating.
