Maldron Hotel Limerick

Breakfast was so good I can't think of anything they could improve. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and the underground parking was great. Check-in felt easy too, with everything about breakfast and the rest explained clearly. I felt relaxed as soon as I arrived. I'll definitely be back.

We were in Limerick for a university event, and this hotel worked out perfectly for our two days there. The free gated parking was much appreciated, and the staff were warm and attentive. Check-in and checkout were both quick and simple. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, with comfortable beds and a large, well-equipped bathroom, and everything was clean. We didn't use the restaurant or pool, so can't comment on those. We'll come back next time we're in Limerick.

I contacted the hotel as soon as I realized I'd left belongings in my room after checking out. They first confirmed the items were there, then later said they had “disappeared.” The managers, including the hotel manager and accommodation manager, handled this terribly. There was no real investigation, accountability, empathy, or attempt to sort it out, and I felt as if my concern didn't matter. Guests should be able to trust that their belongings will be safe, especially when they alert the hotel right away. This left me seriously concerned about how lost property is dealt with here, and showed a lack of professionalism and basic care. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I'd urge others to think twice about staying, because if something goes wrong, I wouldn't expect honesty or support from management.

The staff were friendly, and the guy who greeted us at check-in was especially lovely. Undercover parking was handy, and breakfast had some good options, though nobody explained that we could order eggs or pancakes. For what we paid, I expected cooked options to be included. Our dinner was just okay, and the restaurant being a public bar made the whole meal feel a bit meh. The room was okay too, but the bathroom was tiny and the pillows were so big my neck was at a steep angle. The hotel felt run down for a four-star place. I wouldn't stay again.
