The place was clean and modern, and the location worked well if you don't have a car. But the room was cramped, with a pillar right beside the small double bed, and noise from other rooms came through the thin walls. A machine droned outside my window through both nights, loud enough that earplugs didn't block it, and bottles crashed around at 2.15 in the morning. I couldn't get comfortable with the heating either. The room started out hot, then became cold after I closed the window. I waited until 8.10 for the heat, got dressed and went out to warm up, and it never came on that day. The wall control showed 27.3 even while the room felt freezing, and there were no instructions to explain its symbols. There were only three hangers and no suitcase rack, so my clothes ended up on the bed and chairs and I had to use my case on the floor. Tea and coffee weren't in the room as advertised. There was an open box of tea bags and a kettle setup downstairs in the hallway, which meant going down in my nightclothes. There was no breakfast either, despite the bed-and-breakfast listing. These basics need sorting. I spent two uncomfortable nights here in March 2026, and wouldn't rate it five stars, or even close to three. It felt like the host hadn't considered what guests need.

I've travelled a lot for work, and this was the worst stay I've had. The host wasn't present, and when I complained about the people in the next room, there was shouting and obscenities, and it got worse after I knocked on the wall. I didn't feel safe with their reaction, and I reported it to the police. A hallway camera didn't help in that situation. I was kept awake by five or six people having what sounded like a sex party. The host made excuses and seemed to think the only answer was to raise prices to deter guests like that. The claims about soundproofing are false, and the guesthouse is overpriced and dodgy. I wouldn't stay here.

The host made check-in easy and was really helpful. I found the room comfortable as a base for an event nearby, though the pillar next to the bed and lack of a mirror were awkward.

The host offered to help us with our bags, which was welcome since our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. It's a tiny place right in the center of town. The attic room had skylights that we liked, but the ceiling was low enough that I bumped my head repeatedly. Parking was another hassle: it was paid by the hour, and after jet lag sent me into a nap that ran over the hour, I found out the hard way with a $60 ticket.

No heat at all during my one-night stay on Monday 6 October. I asked for it to be switched on and tried the controls and radiators, but the room stayed cold all night. I woke with a sore throat. I requested a 50% refund and was offered 5 euro instead. Cheeky.
