The Grand was a familiar stop for us years ago, and it was lovely to find the same welcoming tradition still there. My husband and I dropped in for lunch on our way west from Dublin and found a carvery with plenty to choose from. I had turkey and ham with lots of vegetables, garlic, roast and mashed potatoes, and chips. My husband chose bacon and cabbage. The two women serving us were friendly, and at €14.95 each it was very reasonable.

I popped in to pick up a voucher and was glad to see the town has a hotel, as places like that are really needed. I’m hoping to eat there next year when I’m visiting my friends.

My wife and I had a very nice three-course meal here. The food was very good, and the staff were excellent.

The staff were courteous and helped with directions when I asked. I had dinner here on two evenings, and the food was tasty and nicely presented. I’d visit again.

The bar was quiet and clean, and the toilets were spotless. We stopped for lunch while crossing the country and had lovely sandwiches and tea, even though they weren’t on the menu. The staff were happy to make them for us, and the staff member who served us was lovely. Excellent value, too.
