The rooms were gorgeous and spotless, with everything needed for a stay and plenty of useful extras. Matty was very accommodating when we booked at short notice, and the staff were welcoming. There’s a big secure car park, and Matty’s little bar next door is cosy with a perfect pint of Guinness. A real hidden gem, I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

We felt welcome from the start, thanks to how kind and helpful everyone was. The apartment was very clean, and we had a lovely three nights at Matty’s Pub Apartments in Bagenalstown with our children during our October 2025 trip around Ireland. We meant to go to the pub on our last evening, but forgot it’s closed on Wednesdays 😅, our mistake. That didn’t spoil the stay at all. We’d love to return someday, and are grateful for the lovely memories.

The location worked out perfectly for my week in the area: close to town but quiet, with its own parking, food options across the road and a Lidl nearby. As an American traveling through, I found Matty's Pub Apartments online and booked in person directly with Matt. He was friendly and quick to help with any question or request. He even brought me a small portable freezer since the little fridge didn’t have one. I stayed in the Garden Studio in chilly December, so I didn’t get to use the sun room, which seems better suited to warmer months. The bed was comfortable, the pillows oversized, the linens excellent, and the bathroom gorgeous. The kitchen was just right, everything was spotless, and the room had good wi-fi. The TV came with lots to watch, including its own Netflix account. I really couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks again, Matt, and kudos to you.

Our family of nine had everything we needed in Mattys apartments. They were lovely, tidy and spotless, and the location was great too. We were there during a sad, difficult time for our mum’s funeral, and Matty was so kind and helpful throughout. Thanks for everything, Matty. I’d highly recommend staying here.
