Room 105 was in awful shape. Mold covered the bathroom walls and ceiling, there were stains on the carpet and ceiling, and the bed had a hole in it. It was after 10pm, but my husband and I wanted to leave for a hotel down the road. There was no temperature control, and opening the windows brought in road noise and critters. My husband felt so uncomfortable that we checked for bed bugs. We told the owner, who agreed the room and bed were terrible, and moved us to 106. That room also had mold and no temperature control, though less mold. At least it had the WiFi password, but the sheet hadn’t been updated since 2020. Neither room had a working television, and both kettles were gross and looked burnt. There was no reception to welcome guests or offer information. The owner said breakfast was only provided for tour groups. The property was in a poor location, and this was one of the worst places we stayed during our travels.

This was my best experience. Everything was perfect, from the room and bedding to the house itself. I felt cared for from the very first email, and I appreciated being able to enjoy the place without anyone around or watching us.

The rooms were dark, the pillows flat and uncomfortable, and the vanity mirror had no lightbulb. The house is old and dated and badly needs a major refresh. Breakfast wasn’t included, either, and cost an extra 30 EUR per couple. For the price, guests deserve much more attention and the rooms need significant improvement. We barely saw the owner at check-in, for about 8 seconds, because of a family event, and never saw them again. They didn’t respond when we reported that the Wi-Fi was down. The coffee area wasn’t cleaned during our stay, with the same dirty cups left there. This was by far the most disappointing B&B we experienced in Ireland.

The rooms were good, and the location was excellent, close to the center of Killarney. The host was friendly, and breakfast was very nice.

The host welcomed us so warmly when my partner and I arrived. We only had two nights here, which feels like a shame. The place was cozy and clean, and just a six-minute walk from the city center. We'd happily recommend it.
