Serena was an excellent hostess. She made us a lovely breakfast and had cakes or slices ready when we arrived, which we really appreciated after the long drive. The facilities were excellent, and we enjoyed our stay. The house is also close to many local sites.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Our host greeted us with a smile and was so friendly and energetic. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and she had made treats for us. Breakfast was delicious too. Highly recommended!

This B&B makes a very good base for exploring the Ring of Kerry. The rooms aren't especially large, but they're clean and nicely appointed. The main drawback was road noise: with the window shut it wasn't much of an issue, but with it open it would be hard to put up with, even though there wasn't much traffic at night. Breakfast is served in a pleasant room, with choices ranging from a classic Irish breakfast to salmon. One entrance to Killarney National park is nearby. You can walk into town, though it's a good distance. Payment was by cash or bank transfer only.

Our host's recommendations made for a perfect set of outings. We hadn't planned every stop, so we asked her for ideas, and they were all great. We spent five nights at Sika Lodge, and the homemade breakfasts were delicious. There were four menu choices, plus a small continental buffet with homemade pastries. Since we stayed a whole week, we tried each option, and the pastries changed daily. We never got the same cake twice. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, large closet, desk and armchair. Each morning, the host refilled the filtered tap water on the desk, along with two biscuits. Tea and coffee cups and a water heater were provided, as was a small basket of tea and coffee. There was also a medium to large TV with a built-in DVD player, and DVDs and books were available to borrow. We occasionally heard a car on the country road beside the house, but it was very quiet and never disturbed us. The bathroom was a good size and had been newly renovated nicely. Towels in different sizes were provided. The one small issue for me was that the shower head was installed a bit low. It probably wouldn't be a problem for people of average height.

The room was okay, and we especially enjoyed breakfast. We had a nice stay, and the host was very friendly. We also had a pleasant chat with her.
