Killarney Plaza Hotel and Spa

A most welcoming place, and one of the best hotels I've stayed in. I've stayed in hotels from new york to london and Mexico, among other places, and the staff here were fantastic. The food was outstanding and everything ran seamlessly. There were bikes to get around and violinists playing in the bar 🍸. If you get the chance, stay a night or two. You won't be disappointed. Keep doing what you're doing 👏

I stayed one night on Sat 24th January 2026 at this top-class hotel, right in the centre of everything. Breakfast was excellent. Tomas, the Guest Relations Manager, deserves a special thanks for his people skills. His warmth and kindness make it clear he's in the right profession.

I parked the car and barely needed it during my few days in killarney, since the hotel is central to everything. The service and food were great, the suite was fantastic, and the staff were just amazing. Couldn't fault a thing. See ye again soon.

We'd stayed here before at Christmas and had made it our hotel of choice in Killarney, but this visit has damaged that relationship. Next time we're in town for the Christmas Parade, we'll have to look elsewhere. We booked a cot and a mini fridge for medication, but neither was available when we arrived. We were asked to wait in the bar, then after 45 minutes, told the room still wasn't ready. Another 15 minutes passed before a mini fridge arrived. The medication was already an hour longer out of the fridge than planned, and the fridge needed time to cool. Losing that hour also meant changing our dinner plans because we couldn't make our reservation. While we waited, it seemed everyone else was offered mulled wine, but we weren't. There was a techno/house DJ in the bar, a strange choice for the Saturday before Christmas, then the system switched to Christmas music when he finished. The sudden change nearly gave everyone whiplash. In the swimming pool and spa changing room, music played from a free Spotify account, so ads for Paddy Power and Spotify Premium blared every three songs. At €305 a night, you'd think the hotel could afford the upgrade.
