Killarney Self Catering - Rookery Mews Apartments

For a small group or family, I think this is very good value. It isn’t luxurious, but it does the job: the beds are comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and having two bathrooms was nice. The staff were very responsive to our few requests, and we made use of the free laundry. We’re really enjoying Killarney and our stay at the Mews.

There’s plenty of green space with picnic tables behind the complex, plus a children’s playground. Our two-bedroom apartment had a small balcony with a fantastic view, two bathrooms, and comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed, from a kettle, toaster, teapot and French press to a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, dishes and cutlery. There was also a welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits, and kitchen and bathroom essentials. I appreciated finding a first-aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the kitchen. We were there for just two nights, but felt very comfortable in this quiet complex close to the city. We’d happily stay again on our next visit to Killarney.

They even moved our apartment so we’d be right beside the playground, and supplied toys, a high chair and a baby bath for our little one. We got sick and needed to spend an extra night in Galway. After I called to say we’d arrive a day later than planned, they refunded the night we couldn’t stay without us asking. That was a lovely surprise. The place has lots of space, new bathrooms, and is close to everything we needed. Fantastic customer service. We’d gladly stay again and recommend it to friends.
