There are more than 20 stairs up to the room, and my handicapped mother had a lot of difficulty getting there. The shared-space and dining-area photos should be removed, since access is only to your room. There’s no room for luggage on the wooden racks provided, and the walls are extremely thin. We could hear everything going on in the other three rooms, day and night. With no attendant on site, I wouldn’t recommend this B&B. Perhaps the sister hotel down the street is an option, though you have to check in there and have breakfast there.

The shower was awful, with barely any water and no pressure. There were loads of hairs on and in the bed, absolutely disgusting. The old blow dryer seemed dangerous: my hair got caught in it and I had to rip it out. I think previous guests had the same problem, because there was already a hair in it before I used it. The room was too small for all the furniture. The desk wasn’t needed, and the wardrobe took up too much space by the bathroom entrance. The two parking spaces in front of the house could have been used by guests, but weren’t. The continental breakfast was okay, with little choice. My scrambled eggs were overcooked and hard. It was also extremely noisy. We could hear everything from other rooms and stayed awake for hours because someone was snoring so loudly it felt like they were in our room. We paid 200 euro for one night and wouldn’t recommend this B&B. Check-in was at the hotel down the road, which was fine, though the gentleman wasn’t very welcoming and I felt like I was getting a lecture. Booking.com didn’t post this review after our stay.

Breakfast was the best part, with hot options as well as continental food, coffee, tea, and juice. It’s served at the Fairmont hotel down the street, about half a block away, and the accommodation is owned by that hotel. The rooms are clean and close to almost everything in Killarney city centre, but small, as is the bathroom. The low, small sink sits under a shelf I was likely to hit my head on when bending down. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, though that’s subjective. There’s no owner or manager on site, and the rooms are up narrow stairs with no lift for luggage. The coffee maker was in the closet because there was nowhere else it would fit.

The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom had mould, and the walls were paper thin. Doors slammed at 1 am, then a group stumbled in at 3, screaming and roaring at each other. It was one of the worst nights’ sleep I’ve ever had. Booking here was a mistake from top to bottom, and I couldn’t recommend avoiding this place more.

The WiFi was really horrendous. Parking across the street was accessible and very reasonable, but it was booked one night, so we had to park in front of the B&B for a few hours.
