Murphy's of Killarney

For our honeymoon, my husband and I loved the location and being able to hear the music from the bar downstairs in the evening. We were given a handicap room, which felt a bit awkward since I don't have a disability. The room was only about average for cleanliness.

The rooms were immaculate, and by the time we came back from breakfast, our bed and room had already been cleaned. The food was five-star too, with nothing to fault. Emma in the bar and Theresa at reception were among the nicest, friendliest people you could meet. I stayed two nights with friends last weekend, and it was one of the best places we've stayed in years. Ten out of ten all around. Can't wait to return.

They fitted us in at very short notice, and we had a delightful one-night stay. The team works so hard to make sure guests have a great time. Our room was super clean and comfortable, and breakfast was outstanding. Thanks for everything, Murphy's. Highly recommend, and I'll be back 💚 xx

This isn't the Ritz, but for the price and location, it's fantastic. It's right in the centre, with loads of bars just outside. The rooms are spacious, the staff friendly, and breakfast is great: you can choose a cooked breakfast, then help yourself to cereal, cheese, fruit, scones and croissants. There's a car park across the road. I wouldn't pick it for a romantic getaway. But as a comfortable base for exploring Killarney and the surrounding area, it works really well. I'd return.
