Killarney View House

This was our third time at this beautiful hotel, and everything was amazing again. Irina is a wonderful host, very kind and polite. She made us comfortable and shared some tips about the city. We slept really well in the cosy room, and the upstairs couch is a peaceful, comfortable place to enjoy the beautiful river view. Breakfast was delicious, made by an excellent chef. The place is close to the city centre and a park where you can go for a walk. We really recommend staying here. Thanks so much for everything, and see you soon. 5/5.

On my trips to Ireland over the years, this has been the best B&B I've stayed in. The owner and staff are gracious, efficient and full of hospitality, and the setting is lovely and convenient for exploring Killarney on foot. The rooms are clean, the showers are good, and the hearty Irish breakfast makes it a fine choice.

The location worked well for exploring Killarney, but the service issues added up during our three-night stay in a room for three. Our room's toilet wouldn't refill so it could flush. We reported it on the first day and were given a bucket to fill the tank. We were told a plumber would come the next morning, but we don't think that happened; the problem lasted the whole stay. At check-in we were also told the wifi only worked in the shared lounge, not the rooms, and even parts of the lounge had a spotty connection. I emailed a couple of weeks ahead to ask about check-in times and got no reply. The welcome sheet sent a few days before arrival had the information and asked us to respond if we wanted tea and coffee facilities in the room. I replied but heard nothing, then had to ask in person because they weren't there at first. We repeatedly had to request the heat be turned on, towels replaced, mugs washed or replenished, and the small bin emptied. Each request was handled, but we had to ask every time. The room could also use more hooks and another table. With three people and rainy weather, there wasn't enough space to hang things, and one bedside table had to serve as the tea and coffee tray. Breakfast was okay but basic, and could use more fresh items.

Our spacious triple room was great for the kids to play in, and even had a lovely river view. From the lounge and breakfast area, the views over the river were beautiful too. The location is convenient for getting downtown. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful, keeping in touch well and giving us lots of information. Breakfast was delicious, served by lovely people, and we felt well cared for throughout. We were very pleased with the stay. Thank you!
