The Addresse on the Beach

The decking overlooking the sea was the nicest part, and the staff were helpful and friendly. It's also well placed for Tramore Amusement Park. But this was easily the most disappointing hotel break I've ever had. I left early because I couldn't face the last night, and even my 12 year old was glad to go. I wouldn't recommend it or return. They need to reconsider the prices and raise their standards. This was totally overpriced. It didn't feel like a hotel: our accommodation was in a refurbished house down a side street from reception. There were only four parking spaces there, one of them disabled, so parking meant a long walk or paying to park. The location was noisy, opposite another hotel's bar and beside a taxi base. The house had no phones in the rooms. There were no evening meals early in the week, so we had to eat at the hotel opposite, which was closer anyway. The bathroom ceiling had mould, the room smelled musty, the grout was black and the toilet paper took me back to school. It needs a proper deep clean. The main bedroom looked nice, and the beds were clean and comfortable, but the skirting boards, shelves and sockets were very dusty. When I moved the bed to retrieve something, I found chewing gum, sweets and piles of dust underneath. There were blinds but no curtains. The tea and coffee supplies in the room weren't replenished on day two or three. For the price, the service was very poor. Breakfast was only average.
