Glenart House

I found it very difficult to sleep. The bed squeaked whenever I moved, and the pillows were very hard. I found a slightly softer one in the cupboard, but my partner didn’t have the same luck. Maybe I missed what others like about this place, and not having breakfast might have been part of it. I expected more after reading such great reviews. I guess everyone’s different, and the old style beds and furniture are clearly a hit with most guests.

Our room was fantastic and spotless, and they’ve covered all the basics like tea, coffee and toiletries. We were very impressed with our stay and are looking forward to coming back soon.

We were just a short walk from Tramore town, and Frank was full of helpful suggestions for places to eat when he welcomed us. He and his wife were lovely and friendly, even checking everything was alright as we left. The room had all the modern comforts and was cosy, with tasteful, unusual decor, and there’s breakfast if you want it. One thing let the stay down: it was freezing when I woke at 5 a.m. The radiator was off and didn’t start until after 8, by which time we were leaving, though the room was warm by 9:45. Heating it overnight would have made a big difference. I didn’t have the heart to mention it to them, but I’d suggest turning the heat on earlier. I’d still absolutely recommend staying here. My girls and I had such a lovely stay, and they’re already talking about coming back next year. Frank was so kind to all of us, and his daughter was wonderful when we arrived. We enjoyed every minute. Thanks so much for the warm hospitality ❤️
