We chose it because it was the only reasonably priced option nearby. It's a no-frills B&B a short drive from Killarney, though definitely too far to walk. Our top-floor room was comfortable enough for one night, but it was quite hot and a bit too dark. The hostess gave us a warm welcome, and breakfast was generous and a highlight.

Joan, the owner, was so kind, helpful and pleasant, and gave us advice on trips and places to visit nearby. The breakfast was amazing, with lots of choices, including a luxurious Irish breakfast freshly made by Joan. Our room felt warm and cosy, and the bed was very comfortable, so we slept perfectly. The room, bathroom and toilet were spotless. The fresh towels and bed linen smelled lovely. We were completely satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend Douglasha House. Thanks again for such a lovely stay!

The location was excellent, close to many places of interest around Killarney, and I highly recommend it. Our spacious room was clean and had a big closet. Being able to do our laundry was a bonus. The host was really friendly and helpful: she asked where we were headed over a tasty breakfast, then gave us a map and some tips.

Joan made us feel at ease, like friends coming home, even though we were just visiting. She greeted us so warmly and was always ready to help with the little things. Her tips on places to go were useful, and she always had a friendly smile. Our room was peaceful, clean and comfortable, and breakfast each morning felt thoughtfully made. For a personal, cosy and welcoming stay in Kerry, Douglasha House with Joan is perfect. I can't wait to go back.
