Springfield Lodge

Kay’s beautiful home was an incredible place to stay, and I spent at least two weeks there. She was always there whenever I needed her and went above and beyond to make the stay memorable. Her graciousness, knowledge of Killarney and contacts were unbelievable. I left with two new friends, Kay and her daughter Colette. You won't be disappointed. Pj Hoey

I keep returning to Springfield Lodge for my Killarney holiday, and I've been staying there for more than 20 years. What makes it special is Kay's warm welcome and the way she takes a genuine interest in her guests. Nothing is too much trouble. I think of her as a friend now and wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's a peaceful place, set back in a quiet close. Around 9 each morning, the farmer leads his cows across the nearby road. The house is warm and comfortable, with everything you might need, and the town centre is still only a 20-25 minute walk away. Kay's breakfasts are brilliant, from porridge with fruit and a "full Irish" to yoghurt and pancakes with syrup, strawberries, pineapple, kiwi fruit, pear and banana. They keep me going all day, and I rarely feel like going out for a cooked meal in the evening. It's a real home from home, highly recommended.

The property itself is beautiful, and the rooms were well kept and very clean. Ms O’Shea was the loveliest host and treated me like family. She went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, and I felt so well looked after. The breakfasts she made were really nice and kept me feeling warm all day. I understand why everyone praised her in the reviews I read before going. I know where I'll stay when I'm back in Killarney.

I remember having a wonderful stay here years ago. The room was nice and clean, and breakfast was delicious every day. The host was lovely and gave us great recommendations for Killarney. She even let us leave our bags there after checkout while we were still in town. I'd highly recommend Springfield Lodge.
