Annebrook House Hotel

The apartment worked really well for our work Christmas party. There were three of us, all commuting to Mullingar each day, and none of us had stayed at the Annebrook before, though we’d visited often. It was warm, comfortable and spacious, with two ensuite bedrooms looking out over the park, pond and swans. We used the hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and reception quickly brought us two wine glasses when we realised there weren’t any. We’d also asked for a bottle opener at check-in. Resident parking is free with a validated ticket when you leave. Breakfast came with our rate; two of us had it and were impressed by the choice, including fruit, berry yoghurt, pastries, hash browns and cappuccino. At weekends it’s served until 11. The staff were efficient and the stay was great value. We’d all happily come back for another night out.

We had an 80th birthday party here and the staff went above and beyond for us. The restaurant was top class, from the delicious starters and mains to the excellent Guinness. Our room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed and a decent-sized bathroom with a good shower. There was a safe, TV, iron and board, plus tea and coffee facilities. Everyone we dealt with was polite, professional and friendly, and breakfast had a tasty range to choose from.

The food was delicious and the portions were generous, with extras offered, and it wasn’t expensive. The hotel itself is spotless, with an updated interior, and the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. It’s a beautiful spot in central Mullingar beside the town park. I’d definitely recommend it whether you’re staying in town or just stopping in for dinner.

The carvery downstairs was really tasty, and the location is excellent. I only stayed one night and would happily recommend it. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I was lucky enough to end up in a suite, which was exciting: loads of space, a super comfortable bed and a lovely jetted bath.
