Hazelwood Short Stay Accommodation

The staff were nice and respectful during my stay. I'd seen comments calling them rude, but my experience was that they were professional and helpful. Maintenance issues took a few days to sort out, though, and I hope that improves. The location is near DCU, with bus access and shops within walking distance. As for the rooms, a single or private room is comfortable, but a twin room feels cramped when you're sharing with another student. Hazelwood could use upgrades to the rooms and facilities, especially the heating, washing machines, and dryers.

I spent 10 months living at Hazelwood and loved my time there. Sharing with students from different countries was a wonderful experience. The place is really nice, and the office staff were friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it.

I booked this property through Airbnb for two nights. There was a strong, persistent musty smell in the room, and visible mold on the blackout blinds and in several bathroom spots, including the corners, shower edges, and wall joints. I sent photos of the issues to Airbnb. The smell was so strong that my clothes still smelled after I left. I raised the hygiene concerns with Airbnb. They reviewed the case and gave me a partial refund under their internal guidelines. Given the condition and hygiene standard I experienced, I can't recommend this accommodation as it is now.

I wish I could give minus stars. This is the worst place to live as a student. I'd rather stay at a bus stop. It feels like they're trying to milk money specifically from Indian students, with no services, overpriced costs, gimmicky contracts with hidden clauses, bad, cramped rooms, and no proper ventilation. It also felt like they were trying to steal deposits. Management is the worst, with no proper etiquette or manners. The women sitting in the office all seem frustrated and should book therapy classes. If you're reading this, don't ever stay here.
